Design my booking page
Your booking page is your studio's public page at your-name.bookicorn.net. That's where customers see your offerings and book. You edit the layout and look of the page in the Bookicorn Manager under My Booking Page. What the individual blocks can do is explained on the page Booking page blocks.
Open My Booking Page in the Manager
You edit the booking page under Manager → Settings → My Booking Page, directly at app.bookicorn.net/buchungsseite. Only admins can edit the booking page; trainers see "No access to this area" there.
On a computer, there's also a button with your page's status ("Live" or "Not public") at the top right of the Manager. It opens a menu with My Booking Page, Open page and Copy URL.
Edit the booking page on your computer
On a computer and in wide browser windows, the Manager shows the real booking page with a sidebar on the left that has two tabs:
- Widget library: all blocks, sorted by group, with the search field "Search widget...". A click adds the block at the end of the page. You can also drag it to the spot you want on the page.
- Design: design theme, colors, header and footer, logo, fonts and more.
If you click a block on the page, its Widget settings open next to it. A click on the page's header or footer jumps straight to the matching settings under Design.
Each row on the page has small tools: Move up, Move down, Columns, Widget settings, Duplicate and Remove. With Columns you split a row into several columns, for example "2 equal" or "2/3 + 1/3".
The bar above the page contains:
- Desktop, Tablet and Phone: show the page at the width of that device.
- the moon or sun icon: switches the preview between light and dark.
- Preview: opens your booking page in a new window.
- the button with the page status ("Live" or "Not public").
- Save.
A coloured dot next to the title shows that there are unsaved changes.
Edit the booking page on your phone
On a phone and in narrow browser windows, My Booking Page shows the blocks as a list instead of a page:
- Press and hold a block by the handle on the left (three lines) and drag it to another spot.
- Tap the name to open the Widget settings.
- The red minus on the right removes the block after asking you to confirm.
- Add widget opens the Widget library.
Below that you find Content, Visibility of your booking page and Colors. Colors opens the Design area. At the top are Preview, the button with the page status ("Live" or "Not public") and Save.
You set up columns on your computer. If blocks sit side by side in a row, the list on your phone shows something like "2 side by side on desktop" below them.
Save and publish changes to the booking page
Save publishes your changes immediately. There's no second step: after saving, "Page published" appears and visitors see the new version. This applies to blocks, order, design theme, colors, logo and fonts.
Some settings take effect immediately without saving: the display options in the header, the footer, the Privacy item and the display options on individual blocks. There it says "This setting applies to the whole booking page, not just this widget."
Whether customers can see your page at all doesn't depend on saving but on the visibility (Live or Not public).
Change the order of blocks on the booking page
You change the order of the blocks on your booking page under Manager → Settings → My Booking Page:
- On your phone: press and hold the block by the handle on the left and drag it to the new spot ("Press and hold to drag into place.").
- On your computer: click Move up or Move down on the row.
Then Save.
Change the order of offerings on the booking page
You set the order of offerings in the Offerings grid block in its widget settings under Sorting:
- Date ascending (default): the offering with the next session first.
- Date descending
- Name (A-Z)
- Popular first: by number of bookings.
Visitors can change the sorting above the list themselves and search for offerings. There's no freely defined, manual order for individual offerings.
If you want to show certain offerings separately, use several offerings blocks with Filter by category, Filter by person or Filter by offering. Each block then only shows the selected offerings.
Choose the design theme of the booking page
The design theme is the template for the look and layout of your booking page. You choose it under My Booking Page → Design → Design theme. There are seven themes:
| Theme | Description in the Manager |
|---|---|
| Standard | Clean structure, generous whitespace, calm typography. |
| Aura | Soft serifs, plenty of air, gentle rounding. |
| Volt | Bold split layout, large type, high energy. |
| Pop | Playful and round, big cards, lots of motion. |
| Brut | Raw and monospace, hard edges, maximum contrast. |
| Atrium | Structured and serious, editorial hierarchy. |
| Atelier | Editorial and pared back, elegant typography. |
Be careful when switching: the new theme replaces your page's layout with its default layout and applies its fonts. Colors, logo and header stay as they are. That's why the Manager asks first ("Switch design theme?").
Change the colors of the booking page
You change the colors of your booking page under My Booking Page → Design → Colors. Without custom colors, the design theme's color palette applies. Switch on Custom colors and you can set these colors separately for Light and Dark:
| Color | Affects |
|---|---|
| Primary color | Highlights, active elements and prices |
| Buttons | Buttons. Label colour is chosen automatically for readability |
| Accent | Badges, markers and calendar selection |
| Background | Page background and input fields |
| Surface | Cards and tiles |
| Border | Lines and card borders |
| Headings | Headings only, independent of body text |
| Text | Body text and headings |
| Secondary text | Supporting details like date and duration |
| Footer area | Footer area |
| Footer text | Footer text. Empty = chosen automatically |
If you set a custom primary color but no button color, the buttons use the primary color. After making changes, Save.
You set the colour of an individual offering (for its card when it has no image) on the offering: Offerings → offering → Edit → For customers → Appearance → Colour.
Change the colour of the intro offer on the booking page
The Intro offer block has a coloured area with a gradient. This gradient belongs to the design theme. Custom colors doesn't change it; it only changes when you choose a different design theme.
Other parts of the block follow your custom colors:
- The "Claim trial offer" button uses the Text color, and its label uses the Background color.
- The prices of other trial offers use the Primary color.
Light and dark mode of the booking page
At the very top of My Booking Page → Design there are two appearance settings:
- Toggle for visitors: shows a toggle on your booking page that lets visitors switch between light and dark themselves.
- Mode on first visit: Light or Dark.
The moon or sun icon in the bar above the editor only changes the preview in the Manager, not your page.
Booking page header: logo size and menu
Under My Booking Page → Design → Header you choose the Header variant:
- Minimal: logo and light/dark toggle only.
- With navigation: logo and links to the sections of the page.
- With quick booking: logo, navigation and a booking button.
Below that are the Display options: Logo size (Small, Medium, Large, Extra large), Show menu bar, Menu position and, with "With quick booking", also Booking button on mobile. These display options take effect immediately.
Logo and favicon of the booking page
The logo in the header of your booking page comes first from Settings → General (Upload logo). Under My Booking Page → Design → Logo & favicon you can add another logo and a favicon. The logo there only takes effect as long as no logo is set under General. The Manager then shows a note about this and the link Manage general logo.
For the favicon (the small image in the browser tab), the favicon under Logo & favicon comes first, then the one under General, and finally the logo. How large images may be is explained under Upload images.
Booking page footer: contact details
Under My Booking Page → Design → Footer you enter Instagram, Email, Phone and Website. These details appear in the footer of your booking page and in the Contact block. They take effect immediately.
If you leave email, phone or website empty here, the booking page uses the details from Settings → General → Contact Information.
Fonts and fine-tuning of the booking page
Under My Booking Page → Design → Fonts & advanced you choose the Heading font and the Body font from a fixed list. Below that are the Advanced customizations: Corner radius, Density, Shadow, Section gap, Content width, Border width and Eyebrow labels (the small headings above sections). They affect all blocks at once.
Show trainers on the booking page with first names only
Under My Booking Page → Design → Privacy you switch on Show first names only. Your trainers then appear on the booking page with their first name only, for example "Mia" instead of "Mia Schneider". The setting applies to the whole page immediately.
Booking page content: gallery, questions, texts, facilities
Some blocks show content that you manage in one central place. You find it under My Booking Page → Content or in the widget settings of the matching block:
- Gallery: twelve images at most. Each image has a title, description, alt text and the Show as hero image switch.
- FAQ: your own questions and preset questions.
- Texts: Intro (up to 200 characters), About us (up to 1500 characters) and Directions (up to 800 characters).
- Facilities: equipment and amenities to tick, plus your own entries.
Images with Show as hero image don't appear in the Gallery block but in the Hero block, as long as you haven't added your own slides there. Newly uploaded gallery images are marked as hero images at first. If you want an image to appear in the gallery, open it and switch off Show as hero image.
Reset the booking page to default
At the very bottom of My Booking Page → Design you find Reset. It resets the page to the default of the current design theme: blocks, colors, fonts, header variant, light/dark settings and the logo and favicon under Logo & favicon. The Manager asks you to confirm first. The reset version is only published when you Save. Your logo under Settings → General isn't affected.
Make the booking page public: Live or Not public
You set whether visitors can see your booking page in one of three places. All three change the same setting:
- My Booking Page → Visibility of your booking page: Live ("Visible to all") or Not public ("Only your team").
- On a computer, the status button at the top right of the Manager or in the bar above the editor.
- Settings → General → Public Page → Studio page online/offline.
Switching to Live takes effect immediately. If you switch from Live to Not public, the Manager asks you to confirm ("Deactivate booking page?"). We don't release a page that isn't public to search engines.
Why the booking page shows "Something new is coming"
If your booking page is set to Not public, visitors don't see your page but only "Something new is coming" and "The booking page of … will be available soon." That's the only cause: the page shows as soon as the visibility is set to Live.
Here's how to fix it:
- Open Manager → Settings → My Booking Page.
- Under Visibility of your booking page, choose Live. On a computer, you can also use the "Not public" button at the top right.
- Reload your booking page in the browser.
The Preview from the Manager can also show "Something new is coming" as long as the page isn't public. Being signed in to the Manager doesn't count for this, because the booking page runs on a different address.
Saving in the editor alone doesn't make the page visible. Saving publishes the content; you set the visibility separately.
Change the address (URL) of the booking page
You set the address of your booking page, for example yoga-loft.bookicorn.net, during sign-up under "Your address". You can see it under Settings → General → Public Page.
You can't change the address yourself in the Manager. Write to us at hey@bookicorn.net and we'll change it for you. Keep in mind: after a change, embedded widgets, QR codes and links in emails you've already sent lead nowhere.
You get a completely custom address like book.your-studio.com with the Custom domain addon, see Custom domain.
Change your studio name
You change the name of your studio under Settings → General in the Studio Name field (if you use custom terms, your term appears there). The change is saved immediately. The address of your booking page doesn't change as a result.
Share the booking page
Under Manager → Settings you find Share booking page. Use it to share the link to your booking page. On a computer, you can also copy the link via the status button at the top right and Copy URL.
Frequently asked questions
I saved, but my page shows "Something new is coming". Saving publishes the content but doesn't make the page visible. Set it to Live under My Booking Page → Visibility of your booking page.
Where do I edit the individual widgets? Under Settings → My Booking Page. On your phone, tap the name of the block; on your computer, click the block on the page. The Widget settings open.
How do I change the colour of the intro offer? The gradient belongs to the design theme and only changes with a different theme. The button follows the Text and Background colors under Design → Colors → Custom colors.
Can I set the order of my offerings myself? Not individually. In the Offerings grid, you choose under Sorting by date, name or popularity. You build separate groups with several offerings blocks and filters.
How do I change my URL? We do that for you, just write to hey@bookicorn.net. Links, QR codes and embedded widgets with the old address won't work afterwards.
Does a new design theme change my content? It replaces the page layout with the theme's default layout. Colors, logo and header stay. Your content such as gallery, texts and offerings also stays.
