Booking Reminder

By default 24 hours before the class starts.

Configuration:

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications
  2. Under "Booking reminder"
  3. Choose the timing:
    • 1 hour before
    • 2 hours before
    • 24 hours before
    • 48 hours before
  4. Or disable it

Credit Expiry Warning

Warning before credits expire.

Configuration:

  • 3 days before
  • 7 days before
  • 14 days before
  • 30 days before

Trainer Notifications

Configure Per Trainer

  1. Go to Trainer → [Name]
  2. Tab "Settings"
  3. Under "Notifications"
  4. Enable/disable individual emails

Admin Notifications

Daily Summary

By email each morning:

  • Today's bookings
  • Today's classes
  • Capacity utilization
  • Upcoming tasks

Instant Notifications

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications
  2. Tab "Admin"
  3. Enable the desired notifications
  4. Choose recipient emails

Email Frequency

Digest Mode

Instead of immediate emails, notifications can be bundled:

Recommendation

  • Customers: Instant (for bookings)
  • Trainers: Instant or daily
  • Admins: Daily (except critical ones)

Customer Preferences

Opt-Out Options

Customers can in their profile:

  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails
  • Disable reminder emails

Cannot be unsubscribed:

  • Booking confirmations
  • Payment receipts
  • Password reset

Data Privacy

All opt-outs are stored in GDPR-compliant manner.


Push Notifications

Status: Planned

Browser push notifications are in development:

  • Booking reminders
  • Class changes
  • Credit warnings

Coming Later

Customers will then be able to:

  • Enable push in the browser
  • Use on mobile (PWA)

SMS Notifications

Status: Planned

SMS delivery for:

  • Booking confirmation
  • Reminders
  • Class cancellations

Costs

SMS delivery is billed separately (add-on).

Best Practices

Don't Overwhelm

  • Too many emails annoy customers
  • Focus on what matters
  • Offer opt-out

Timing

  • Reminders not too early, not too late
  • 24h before class is standard
  • For workshops: 48-72h before

Content

  • Short and concise
  • All important information
  • Clear call to action

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I disable notifications entirely?

Booking confirmations and legally relevant emails are mandatory and cannot be disabled.

Why am I not receiving any emails?

  • Check your spam folder
  • Is the email address correct?
  • Was opt-out accidentally activated?

Can I send test emails?

Yes, in the email templates there is "Send test".

Are emails logged?

Yes, all sent emails are stored with their status.
