Pricing Tiers and Booking Volume

Your plan price depends not only on the plan itself, but also on how many bookings your studio processes per month. This page explains the tiers, what counts as a booking, and how to change your quota.

The principle in three sentences

Every paid plan has seven tiers: 50, 100, 200, 500, 1,000, 2,000, and 4,000 bookings per month. You choose the tier that matches your volume and pay the price of that tier. The default when you sign up is the smallest tier, 50 bookings per month.

The plan determines the feature scope (addon slots, payout rhythm), the tier determines the volume. Both can be chosen independently of each other.

The tiers at a glance

All prices in euros per month, plus VAT. The second figure applies with annual billing (price per month).

Important: 4,000 bookings per month is the upper limit of the paid plans, not an unlimited quota. Only Enterprise is truly unlimited. If you expect more than 4,000 bookings per month or run several studios under one roof, get in touch with us and we will set up Enterprise for you.

What counts as a booking

Every registration for a session at your studio that is not cancelled is counted.

  • Cancelled means: the booking no longer counts, even retroactively.
  • Both pending and confirmed bookings count.
  • Counting happens in the month of the session, not the month of the registration. Someone booking in March for a session in May adds to May's count.
  • A block booking spanning several sessions counts through its individual sessions and is therefore spread across their respective months.
  • Guests without an account count like any other participant.

You can see your current usage and the coming months under Settings → Plan & Billing. The Overview shows the same figure as a narrow bar above the cards.

Changing your quota

  1. Open Settings → Plan & Billing
  2. Under booking volume, choose the desired tier
  3. Confirm the change

What applies:

  • Only owners and administrators may change the tier.
  • An increase takes effect immediately.
  • A decrease is only possible while the current month's usage is below the new tier. If you already have 220 bookings this month, you cannot go back to 200.
  • The difference is prorated for the remainder of the billing period, so you never pay twice.

When your quota runs low

Bookicorn warns you before the limit is reached. The warning levels are based on the percentage of your usage. If you don't react, the bar on the Overview stays red. The clean solution is always the next tier up, not deleting bookings: deleted or cancelled bookings distort your analytics.

Frequently asked questions

Does the price change automatically if I book more? No. The tier only changes if you change it yourself, or if we have set up a custom quota for you. The price never jumps without your action.

Can I go up and back down within a month? Up at any time. Down only while the current month's usage is below the target tier.

Do waitlist entries count? No. Only once someone moves up and the booking is created does it count.

Does a cancelled and newly created booking count twice? No. The cancelled one drops out, the new one counts.

Is there a surcharge per additional booking over 4,000? No, the tier ends at 4,000. Beyond that, the path goes through Enterprise.
