Creating credit packages

Credit packages are the products your customers purchase. Here you'll learn how to create attractive packages.

Opening the package overview

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select Credit packages
  3. You'll see all existing packages

Creating a new package

  1. Click New package
  2. Fill in the form
  3. Save the package

Configuring validity

Validity duration

Choose how long credits are valid:

Recommendation

Small (5-10 credits):   3 months
Medium (20-30 credits): 6 months
Large (50+ credits):    12 months

Choosing an activation mode

Immediately (default)

Credits are usable immediately after purchase.

When to use:

  • Standard for most packages
  • Customers want to book right away

First use

Credits are only activated on the first booking.

When to use:

  • "Valid from first use"
  • Gift packages
  • Customers who are still undecided

Example:

Package "10-class card" Validity: 3 months from first use → Customer purchases on Jan 1 → First booking on Feb 15 → Valid until May 15

Fixed date

Credits are activated on a specific date.

When to use:

  • Seasonal packages ("Summer package valid from Jun 1")
  • New Year specials
  • Campaigns

Package structure (best practice)

Recommended structure

3-4 packages are ideal:

1. INTRO / STARTER
   - 5 credits
   - Low price
   - Short validity (1 month)
   - For new customers

2. REGULAR / STANDARD
   - 10-15 credits
   - Mid-range price
   - 3 months validity
   - For occasional visitors

3. PLUS / VALUE
   - 25-30 credits
   - Good discount
   - 6 months validity
   - For regular visitors
   - Mark as "Popular"!

4. PREMIUM / UNLIMITED
   - 50+ credits
   - Best discount
   - 12 months validity
   - For power users

Highlighting a package

"Popular" badge

The middle package should be highlighted:

  1. Open the package
  2. Enable Mark as popular
  3. Save

Effect:

  • "Popular" badge is displayed
  • Package is visually highlighted
  • Guides purchasing decisions

Using descriptions

Good descriptions:

  • "Ideal for once a week" (10-class card)
  • "Perfect for regular training" (25-class card)
  • "For real yogis - best savings!" (50-class card)

Editing a package

  1. Go to Credit packages
  2. Click on a package
  3. Change the desired fields
  4. Save

Important: Changes only apply to new purchases. Credits that have already been purchased retain their original properties.


Deactivating a package

When a package should no longer be sold:

  1. Open the package
  2. Set Active to "No"
  3. Save

Effect:

  • Package disappears from the shop
  • Already purchased credits remain valid
  • Historical data is preserved

Deleting a package

Not recommended! Deactivate instead.

If you do delete:

  1. A package can only be deleted if no credits from it exist
  2. Historical purchases are lost
  3. Better: Deactivate

Special packages

Intro offers (trial packages)

Bookicorn has a built-in intro offer system that lets you specifically attract new customers - without manual restrictions.

How to create an intro offer

  1. Create a new credit package (or edit an existing one)
  2. In the "Advanced" tab, enable the toggle "Mark as intro offer"
  3. Configure the trial options:

What happens automatically?

  • Free packages (€0): Activated directly - no Stripe checkout required
  • Discounted packages: Normal Stripe checkout like regular packages
  • New customer check: System automatically checks whether the customer has already booked or purchased
  • Limit check: System automatically prevents multiple redemptions
  • Studio page: Intro offers are prominently displayed in their own section
  • Badge: An "Intro" badge appears in the admin package overview

Best practices for intro offers

  • Start free: €0 lowers the barrier to entry as much as possible
  • Short validity: 7-14 days creates urgency
  • Few credits: 1-3 credits are enough for a trial
  • Communicate clearly: Description like "Your free trial training!"

Gift voucher

Name: Gift voucher
Credits: 10
Price: €100
Activation: First use
Validity: 6 months from activation

Seasonal package

Name: Summer special
Credits: 20
Price: €160 (instead of €180)
Activation: Jun 1, 2025
Validity: 3 months
Description: "Exclusive summer offer!"

Trainer-bound packages

For personal training or specialists:

Name: Personal training (5x)
Credits: 5
Price: €250
Trainer: [Max Mustermann]
Validity: 6 months

Effect: These credits can only be used for classes with Max.

Checklist before launch

  • 3-4 packages with clear tiering
  • Volume discount for larger packages
  • One package marked as "Popular"
  • Descriptions for each package
  • Validity periods matching the credit amount
  • Prices checked and attractive
  • Intro offer set up for new customers
  • Test-purchased yourself (test mode)
