Create your first offering
An offering is what your customers book: a course, a private lesson, a workshop or a reservation. An offering only becomes bookable once it has at least one session. This page shows the fastest way to your first bookable offering. All settings in detail are explained in Create an offering.
Where to create a new offering
You can create a new offering in three places in the Bookicorn Manager:
- in the setup on the dashboard with Create Offering. There, Bookicorn suggests suitable templates from your industry.
- under Manager → Offerings with the plus sign at the top right (app.bookicorn.net/angebote).
- on the dashboard via Add (plus sign) and Create Offering.

Choose the type of offering
At the top of the form, Bookicorn asks: How are the sessions arranged in time? There are four types to choose from:

|---|---|
| Fixed sessions | You set the date and time, and customers book one of these sessions. |
| Appointments | Customers pick a free time within your availability themselves, for example for private lessons, consultations or treatments. |
| Session block | Several sessions as a package that is booked as a whole, for example an 8-week block. Requires the Block courses addon. |
| Period | Customers book from day to day instead of a time slot, for example for rentals or lending. Requires the Resources addon. |
If the required addon isn't active, the type shows a lock and the note Available as an addon. Tapping it takes you to the addon in the Addon Store.
The required details of an offering
For an offering with fixed sessions, you need the following at the top of the form:
- the Offering title,
- at least one payment type with a price,
- Max. participants (or unlimited),
- Date, Start time and Duration of the first session.
Everything else is in separate sections below and can also be added later: For customers (description, image, colour, categories), Sessions, Location & Trainer, Booking rules and Accounting.
Payment types and price of an offering
Under Payment types, you choose how customers pay for this offering. You can choose from the payment methods you've set up:
- Stripe and PayPal for online payment,
- Manual: bank transfer/PayPal,
- Payment on site,
- Credits: payment with credits from a prepaid card. The name follows your term for credits.
- Free, if taking part costs nothing.
Directly below, you enter the Price, or the number of credits for credits. Payment methods you haven't set up yet are listed below under More payment methods with Set up.
Create a single session or a session series
Without any further details, saving creates a single session with the date and start time from the form. For recurring sessions, open the Sessions section and switch on Session series. Under Recurrence, choose Daily, Weekly, Every 2 weeks or Monthly, and for weekly series also the weekdays. Bookicorn then creates all sessions of the pattern at once.
You add more individual sessions later via Add and New Appointment on the dashboard. More in Create sessions.
Booking rules of an offering
In the Booking rules section, you set the following for this offering, among other things:
- Automatically confirm bookings: if this is off, bookings come in as a request, and you confirm or reject them.
- Cancellation deadline: until when customers can cancel themselves.
- Status and visibility: Public means the offering appears on the booking page. Private means it's not visible to customers and can't be booked by them, but you can still book people in yourself.
Save the offering
With Create Offering at the bottom of the form, you save the offering with its sessions. If a required detail is missing, the form highlights the spot.
Frequently asked questions
Why can't anyone book my offering? Check whether it has a session in the future, whether it's set to Public and whether your page is live.
Do I set up a 10-session pass as a session block or as a course? A 10-session pass is a prepaid card, not a type of offering. You create the offering with Fixed sessions, allow Credits as a payment type and sell a prepaid card with 10 credits. A Session block, on the other hand, is a fixed series of sessions that is booked as a whole.
How do I create a weekly course? In the Sessions section, switch on Session series, then choose Weekly and the weekdays.
Can I create an offering without customers seeing it? Yes. Set it to Private in the booking rules. You can still book people in yourself.
Why does Session block have a lock? Session block requires the Block courses addon, and Period requires the Resources addon. You activate both in the Addon Store.
