Vouchers
With the voucher system you can create discount codes that your customers can redeem when purchasing credits or classes.
Voucher types
Bookicorn offers two different voucher types:

Creating a voucher
- Go to Admin → Vouchers
- Click Create voucher
- Fill in the fields:

Scope

You can restrict vouchers to specific elements:
Specific customers
- Select customers who are allowed to use the code
- Ideal for VIP promotions or apologies
Specific classes
- Code only applies to selected classes
- Good for class promotions
Specific credit packages
- Code only redeemable for certain packages
- For targeted package promotions
Managing vouchers
Overview
The voucher overview shows:
- All vouchers with status
- Redemptions per voucher
- Overall statistics

Sending a voucher by email
- Click the mail icon on the voucher
- Select the recipient
- Optionally add a personalized message
- Send
The customer receives an email with the voucher code and redemption instructions.
Redeeming a voucher (customer view)
Customers can redeem vouchers:
- When purchasing credits: Voucher field in checkout
- With direct payment: Voucher field before payment
After entering the code, the discount is automatically displayed and deducted.

Sensible limits
- New customer promotion: Max. 1x per customer
- Flash sale: Short validity, limited redemptions
- VIP code: Only for selected customers

- Check statistics regularly
- Deactivate codes that are no longer needed
- Analyze which codes perform well
Frequently asked questions
Can I change a code afterwards?
Yes, but the code itself (e.g. "SUMMER2025") cannot be changed. All other settings can be adjusted.
What happens with expired vouchers?
Expired vouchers can no longer be redeemed. They remain visible in the overview.
Can a customer combine multiple vouchers?
No, only one voucher can be redeemed per purchase.
Are vouchers refunded upon cancellation?
No, redeemed vouchers are not automatically returned upon cancellation. You can manually issue a new code to the customer.
