This page describes how Bookicorn handles legally relevant information. It describes features and is not legal advice. Whether something is sufficient for your country, your legal form and your offering can only be assessed by a legal or tax advisor.
Where your consents to the terms, DPA and privacy policy are stored
You find your consents under Manager → Settings → Legal, directly at app.bookicorn.net/einstellungen/rechtliches. It lists three documents with the version and date of your consent:

Below that is the IP address your studio was registered from. Tapping a document opens its full text. More under Legal: terms, DPA and privacy.
Do I have to sign the data processing agreement and send it back?
No. You agreed to the DPA digitally when you signed up, with the checkbox "I accept the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement". The time is recorded under Settings → Legal. There's no form to print, sign and send back.
The DPA as a PDF for my records
Open the DPA under Settings → Legal or at bookicorn.net/en/privacy?tab=avv and click Save as PDF. Your browser then saves the page as a PDF, without the website's header, footer and tabs.
Your own terms for your customers
By default, your customers agree to the terms of the Bookicorn platform when they book and buy. You add your own terms and conditions with the Custom Terms addon from the Addon Store.
If the addon is active, you've published a version and Own terms active is switched on, your customers agree to your terms. Otherwise, Bookicorn's terms continue to apply. Instructions: Custom Terms.
Small business regulation on invoices
You set the small business regulation per invoice issuer, not per studio. To do this, open Invoices → Invoice Issuers and edit the relevant entry:
- Under Country, choose where the invoice issuer is based.
- Switch on Apply small business regulation (no VAT).
- Optional: enter your own wording under Note on the invoice. If left empty, the default text for your country is used.
The legal basis in the default text follows the invoice issuer's country, and the wording follows the language of the invoice. In English, the texts read:

| all other countries | Tax-exempt under the small business regulation. |
For countries without their own entry, the invoice deliberately shows no legal section. If you need specific wording there, enter it under Note on the invoice. Your own text always takes priority.
Known limitation: Some invoice PDFs currently still show the German sentence, even if a different country is set. If you notice this, contact us at hey@bookicorn.net.
For invoice issuers using the small business regulation, Bookicorn doesn't embed e-invoice data (ZUGFeRD) in the invoice.
The label of the booking button
The labels of the buttons in the booking and checkout process are fixed and can't be renamed. They depend on the step, for example "Book now", "Book for 25 €" or "Pay Now". The texts are available in all seven languages.
What you can freely set are your own terms under Settings → General → Terminology, for example "Appointment" instead of "Course". On your booking page, you also set the buttons of the Hero and CTA block blocks yourself (Button text).
